Open platform
Works with any dental design software.
Cympha carries the case. The design is made in whatever program you already run.
Implant and orthodontic planning are two of the design types on Cympha. A crown, a denture, a surgical guide, an aligner set, a splint: each is a case with files in, files out, and one record in between. The design program can be exocad, 3Shape Dental System, Blue Sky Plan, Maestro 3D, GuideMia, or your own.
Any dental design type
A lab defines its own services, each with its own order form and price. The platform ships GuideMia templates as starting points; everything else is a custom service the lab names.
Crown and bridge
Scans in, the design file and the printable model back, with the doctor's approval on the record.
Removable
Dentures, partials and try-ins, with the bite and the photos the case needs.
Surgical guides
CBCT and intraoral scans together, the plan reviewed in the browser, the guide exported for printing.
Clear aligners
Setup, staging and models, reviewed step by step, with AlignerBot available when OrthoPlus is installed.
Orthodontic appliances
Bonding guides, retainers, expanders and other appliances, as their own services with their own forms.
Anything the lab offers
A service the lab adds carries its own form fields and required files, so an unusual job is ordered the same way as a common one.
Any design software
The case holds files. It does not care which program wrote them. Nothing is converted on the way in or out, so the file the lab opens is the file the practice exported.
The design happens on the workstation, in the CAD program the technician already uses. Cympha Studio opens the same files in the browser for review, measurement, articulation and repair, before and after the design.
GuideMia Implant Master and OrthoPlus are partner products on the same footing as any other design program: a case can go to them, and a case can go anywhere else.
File types the case accepts
- STL, PLY, OBJ meshes
- DICOM volumes
- Photographs and images
- PDF documents
- ZIP archives
- GuideMia native case files
No scanner brand is involved. Files arrive from the scanner's export folder, from a browser upload, or from a phone.
How the Agent joins your scanner and your CAD to the case
The Cympha Agent is a small Windows application in the system tray. It works through folders, which is what a scanner writes to and what a CAD program opens from.
1. Scanner file intake: the scanner exports, the Agent notices
File Monitor watches the folders your scanner exports into. A new scan appears within seconds with one choice, Create a Case, and the files are attached when you do.
2. Desktop sync: assigned cases arrive on disk
Cloud Monitor keeps a workspace folder per assigned case, with the files and a printable lab slip that refreshes when the case changes. The technician opens the files from there in any CAD program.
3. The design is made in your software
Nothing changes in the CAD. The technician designs as before and saves the result into the case folder.
4. Saved means uploaded
A self-contained design output saved into the case folder uploads on its own. Other files wait in the Cloud Monitor panel for a click, so they can be checked first. The case advances and the doctor is notified.
Files move directly between the workstation and storage. They never pass through Cympha's servers, and the Agent never installs anything into the CAD program.
An open platform
No side of the work has to be inside Cympha before the other can start.
Any scanner
The Agent reads an export folder. Which scanner wrote it makes no difference.
Any CAD
Design files are opened and saved by the program you choose. There is no plug-in to install.
Any lab
A practice works alone until it picks a lab for a case. A lab works alone until a practice sends one.
Anyone, by link
A share link opens the files in the browser for someone with no account. The sender sees when it was opened.
Bring the design software you have.
Start with one case. The Agent is free, the first case takes a few minutes, and nothing on your workstation changes.
