Implant simulation
Implant simulation on CBCT in the browser
Place implants on the patient's CBCT, check them against the bone and the scanned teeth, and hand the plan to GuideMia Implant for the surgical guide. Cympha Studio is a browser viewer for DICOM and dental mesh files, and a set of software tools for everything around dental CAD. Free, no install.

Place implants on the CBCT
Implant catalogue
59 brands and about 5,000 implants, including Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Zimmer, MIS, Osstem and Neodent, each with diameter, apical diameter and length.
Placement
Set the tooth number, pick the implant, then click in a slice or in 3D to place it. Move it with the gizmo and update the geometry.
Drilling sleeves
Each implant shows its sleeve and total drill length, so the guide's requirements are visible while you plan.
Scans on the volume
Register the intraoral scan to the CBCT and check the implant against the crowns and the soft tissue.
From simulation to guide
Studio simulates the placement; the surgical guide is designed in GuideMia Implant.
GuideMia Implant projects
Open a .pie project on its CBCT, adjust implants, abutments and anchor pins, add design-log comments, and save back. Everything else in the project is kept as it was.
Implant plans
Export and import an implant plan file locally or through the cloud, keyed to the CBCT series.
Notify
Send plan changes to a colleague from the viewer.
On the same case
The CBCT, the scans and the implant plan stay on one Cympha case, so the lab or the guide designer opens the same scene you planned on.
Questions about implant simulation
- Does Studio design the surgical guide?
- No. Studio simulates the implant placement and shows the sleeves. The guide is designed in GuideMia Implant, which opens the plan from Studio.
- Which implant brands are included?
- 59 brands and about 5,000 implants. Each entry carries diameter, apical diameter and length.
- Can I open an existing GuideMia Implant project?
- Yes. Open the .pie project with its CBCT, adjust it and save it back; the rest of the project is left as it was.
- Does Cympha Studio cost anything?
- No. Studio is free. Saving to a Cympha case, and a few of the editing tools, ask you to sign in with a Cympha account.
