Open a .gvw plan with its segmentation, staging and attachments, from your disk, a link or a Cympha case.
Step playback
Step through the plan or play it, toggle the gingiva, and view each arch from preset angles.
Attachments
Attachments and brackets in the plan are shown and move with their teeth.
Photos
Photos embedded in the plan appear in the case gallery.
Adjust the plan
Tooth moves
Double-click a tooth to move and rotate it with a gizmo and step sliders.
Movement chart
See each tooth's movement per step; insert or delete steps, move a tooth's movement earlier or later, or spread the movement evenly again.
IPR
See the gap or collision between neighbouring teeth along the arch and set the clearance in millimetres.
Restore initial plan
Go back to the plan as it was opened, when an experiment did not work.
Save and share
Save back
Download the updated plan or its case file, or upload the case file to the Cympha case so the lab sees your changes.

Questions about orthodontic simulation
- Does Studio design aligners?
- No. Plans are designed in GuideMia OrthoPlus, by AlignerBot or by a technician. Studio opens the plan, lets you adjust it and sends the changes back.
- What can I change on the plan?
- Tooth positions, the number and order of steps, and IPR. Attachments are shown but not added in Studio.
- Does the doctor need an account to review a plan?
- A plan shared from a Cympha case opens in the browser. Saving changes back to the case requires signing in.
- Which file does it open?
- GuideMia OrthoPlus .gvw plans, including their compressed meshes.
- Does Cympha Studio cost anything?
- No. Studio is free. Saving to a Cympha case, and a few of the editing tools, ask you to sign in with a Cympha account.
